LEXINGTON - Kenneth Leon Carroll, age 59, died Sunday, March 4, 1990, at Stonewall Jackson Hospital. Born in Rockbridge County, March 13, 1930, he was the son of Tribby Hartless Carroll of Lexington and the late J. Otis Carroll. He was a member of the Wildhurst Presbyterian Church of Roanoke. Other survivors include his wife, Nancy Ayers Carroll, Lexington; four sons, Kenneth L. Carroll, II, Salem; C. Randolph Carroll, Del Rio, Texas; Robert J. Carroll and Ricky Z. Carroll, both of Roanoke; two daughters, Deborah J. Carroll, Catawba; Mary C. Sarver, Jacksonville, Ark.; one stepdaughter, Leslie A. Gunner, Lexington; two stepsons, Dennis W. Ayers, Roanoke; David W. Ayers, London, England; one sister, Betty C. Natkin, Lexington; one brother, L. Curtis Carroll, Roanoke; eight grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; a beloved young friend, Chris Riley, Lexington. A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at McElwee Chapel Cemetery, Bustleburg, with Rev. Daniel S. Clark officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the residence. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Lexington Lifesaving and First Aid Crew. Harrison Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
