`TELEMARKETING' IS A NUISANCE

HOW CAN we stop "telemarketing"? Our business receives one to 10 calls per day taking valuable time. After going home at night to prepare dinner, relax or entertain friends, again I have to endure one to three more of these calls.

I am by nature an easy-going person and I don't like to be rude. However, I have reached my limit with these calls.

I have written the telephone company to request my name not be given out for home and work, but everyone sells these lists. Upon receiving the calls, I then request to be removed, but the calls keep multiplying!

Let us work and live in peace. Please don't say "go to an unpublished number." I would if I could, believe me. G. MARSH SALEM
