BOWMAN, MYRTLE B. ROCKY MOUNT - Mrs. Myrtle Bishop Bowman, age 83, of Route 4, died Monday, March 5, 1990, in a local hospital. Born in Washington County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Andrew M. and Alice Dolinger Bishop. Mrs. Bowman attended the State Teachers College, East Radford, Va., and was a former school teacher at Ferguson School. Surviving are her husband, Morie L. Bowman; two daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothey and Cleophus Angle, Rocky Mount; Janie and Samuel Hubbard, Roanoke; two sons and daughters-in-law, Vaiden and Virginia Bowman, Rocky Mount; Kyle and Arlene Bowman, Ferrum; 17 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Russell Bishop, Lancaster, Pa.; John Bishop, Glade Springs. Funeral services will be conducted at the Pigg River German Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday with the Home Brethren officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Clearview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to a fire department and rescue squad of one's choice. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Arrington-Bussey Funeral Home.
