OBIT BOARDMAN, A.

Alan W. Boardman, age 63, of Roanoke County, died Monday at his home. Surviving are his wife, Ora Mae Boardman; daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Tim Holland, Roanoke County; Carol and Chris Minner, Winston-Salem, N.C.; son, David Boardman, Richmond, Va.; three grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Phyllis Boardman, Sarasota, Fla. A memorial service will be at Oakey's South Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Chris Phillips officiating. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to The Brain Tumor Research, c/o Dr. Randy Merchant, Medical College of Virginia, 631 MCV Station, Richmond, Va. 23298. The family will receive friends at the home Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
