TROUTVILLE - Joe Wells Webb, 46, of Roanoke, went to be with his Lord Tuesday morning, March 6, 1990 following a lengthy illness. He was a faithful and devoted member of Bonsack Baptist Church where his witness to his Lord and church was shown in his daily living. He was co-owner of Webb's Oil Corp. and was actively involved in his family owned business for the past 27 years. He is survived by his devoted wife of 26 years, Peggie Beheler Webb; a son, David Wells Webb; and daughter, Lisa JoAnn Webb; all of Roanoke; his mother and father, Harry W. and Lavon Holland Webb, of Thaxton; and sister, Janice M. Webb of Roanoke. Joe will also be missed by Peggie's two sisters, Brenda B. Wood and Linda B. Rhodes, affectionately known by Joe as wife number 2 and 3. Funeral service will be conducted at Oakland Baptist Church, Friday, March 9, 1990, at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Robert G. Moore, III officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Oakey's North Chapel and requests that those wishing to make memorials consider the new building fund of Bonsack Baptist Church. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday.
