Miss Ella Catherine DeLancey, age 57, of Route 1, died Tuesday, March 6, 1990, in a local nursing home. She was born in Franklin County, June 18, 1932, daughter of the late Velmer Dewey DeLancey and Esther Scott DeLancey. She is survived by a half brother, Paul DeLancey of Vinton; two aunts, Mrs. Stella T. Flora of Boones Mill; and Mrs. Elsie D. Wolfe of Kissimmee, Fla.; several cousins also survive. A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at the Fairmont Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Scott Davis officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Arrington-Bussey Funeral Home in Rocky Mount.
