AVIATION VILLAGE PLAN BRINGS SECOND LAWSUIT

Residents opposed to an aviation village planned at Waynesboro Airport have filed a second lawsuit against Augusta County.

The lawsuit says the developer, Paul Bryce, did not follow proper procedure in requesting expansion of the area.

The proposed Eagle's Nest community would have hangars at each home that pilots could taxi their planes to after landing at the airport.

Bryce won approval for the village from the county Board of Supervisors on Jan. 23 to rezone 126 acres for the community. He plans to build about 150 homes. The $5 million project is estimated to take 15 years to complete.
