Henry Thomas Fulcher, age 73, of Salem, passed away Tuesday in a Salem hospital. Mr. Fulcher was a native of Patrick County and lived in Martinsville for many years. He was a veteran of World War II and a recipient of the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Surviving are two sisters, Frances Hylton, Roanoke; Hope Atkins, San Angelo, Texas; two nieces, Katheryn H. Cramer, Vinton; Nancy H. Settle, Hollins; three nephews, Frank Hylton, Christiansburg; Lee Atkins, San Angelo, Texas; John Fulcher, Washington, D.C.; eight great-nephews, one great-niece. Funeral services will be at the graveside 12:30 p.m. Friday at the Griggs Family Cemetery, Patrick County, on Route 58 across from the the Gordon Trent Golf Course. The family suggest that memorial contributions be made to the D.A.V. Arrangements are by Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
