David A. Massey, age 39, of Roanoke, died Thursday, March 8, 1990. He was a radio personality with WPXI, WKBA, WTOY, WJLM, and WSAY. He directed and acted at the Barn Dinner Theatre, Mill Mountain Playhouse and Showtimers. Mr. Massey was a performing artist at the Roanoke Comedy Club and was a active member of the Calvary Tabernacle Church. Surviving are his father, Willard A. Massey, Roanoke; special aunt, Margaret Bell Massey, Roanoke; aunts and uncles, Suttie and Annie Economy, Swaney Boitnott, all of Roanoke; Paul and Yvonne Willard, Salem; Simon and Frances Lampersberger, Blue Ridge; Robert and Mary Gordon, Roanoke; special cousin, Della Ann Economy, Roanoke; other numerous cousins and many special friends. Funeral services will be at the Calvary Tabernacle Church, 18th and Orange Ave., N.W., 11:00 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Ben N. Peyton and Rev. David Gallimore officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Calvary Tabernacle Camp Fund. The family will receive friends at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
