DAVIE, CHARLES J. DUBLIN - Charles James (Jim) Davie, age 77, of 505 Church
St., Dublin, died Thursday in the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo,
Miss. He was born in Wellsville, N.Y., on August 7, 1912, and was a son of the
late Leon C. Davie and Helen Duke Davie. He was a retired employee of the
Radford Army Ammunitions Plant, Radford, Va. Mr. Davie was a veteran having
served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. Surviving are his wife,
Sydney Bentley Davie of Dublin; two daughters, Judith Franks, Tupelo, Miss.;
Bentley Rickmers, Tacoma, Wash.; four grandchildren. A graveside service will
be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. from the New Dublin Presbyterian Church Cemetery
with Dr. Manson B. Tate officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday
evening from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. from the Stevens Funeral Home in Pulaski. In
lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorials be made to the American
Cancer Society. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski.
