CRAVEN, WILLIAM T. MADISON HEIGHTS - William Thomas Craven, Jr., died Friday, March 9, 1990, at his home, at 304 Winesap Rd. in Madison Heights. He was the husband of Elsie White Craven. He was born in Abingdon, Va., a son of Earle Tibbs Craven and the late William Thomas Craven, Sr., of Chilhowie. He was an active member and moderator of the Board of Deacons of Northminster Presbyterian Church. He was retired from Babcock & Wilcox after 30 years as the manager of the Drafting Dept. and was a member of the Madison Heights Ruritan Club. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two daughters, Carole Craven McIvor of Gainesville, Fla.; Donna Craven Rosser of Sacramento, Calif.; two sisters, Helen Catron, Chilhowie; Marie Clapp of Madison Heights; and a grandson, Donald Edward McIvor of Glouester, N.C. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Northminster Presbyterian Church by Dr. Richard S. Hanger. There will be a graveside service at Riverside Cemetery in Chilhowie at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, that memorials gifts be given to Northminster Presbyterian Church or the Monelison Rescue Squad. The family will receive friends at the Diuguid Rivermont Chapel from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday and other times at the Craven home on Winesap Rd. The family will also receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home in Chilhowie Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
