DAVID A. MASSEY, DISC JOCKEY, DIES

David A. Massey, a local radio personality who directed and acted in plays at the Barn Dinner Theatre, Mill Mountain Playhouse and Showtimers, died Thursday at Community Hospital. He was 39.

Maxey worked as a disc jockey on local radio stations WPXI, WKBA, WTOY, WJLM and WSAY.

He performed at the Roanoke Comedy Club and was an active member of Calvary Tabernacle Church.

He is survived by his father, Willard A. Massey.

Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Ben N. Peyton and the Rev. David Gallimore at 11 a.m. Monday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
