DINNER A L'ART FEATURES 21 GOURMET MEALS

Twenty-one gourmet meals or other special events are planned for the third year of Dinner A l'Art, a fund-raising project of the Roanoke Museum of Fine Arts.

Among the palate-pleasing possibilities are a "Bulgarian Banquet," a "Genuine Down Home Eastern North Carlina Bar-B-Que Dinner and Song Fest," dinners in the Jefferson Club and on the Gen. William Mahone railroad car, dinner at the Fotheringay plantation house, a garden party at Mountain View, a golf outing at Mill Mountain Lake's Chestnut Creek course and several other meals on boats or beside the lake.

One of the gourmet dinners, a "California Eclectic" meal, will be delivered and served at a location of the guests' choice.

The meals are donated by their hosts. Income for the museum is derived from the sale of tickets, most of which are $75.

Most of the Dinner A l'Art events will take place the weekends of April 27-28 and May 5-6. Exceptions are the Mountain View garden party on May 2 and the popular overnight "Get Away" at Bath County's Garth Newel Music Center Sept. 15-16.

Dinner A l'Art will accommodate more than 500 guests overall, but most events are for a limited number of people. Reservations close on April 9 and must be made by mail. Call 342-5760 for information.
