GARDEN CLUBS TO DISCUSS WASTE MANAGEMENT

The South Atlantic Region of the National Council of State Garden Clubs Inc. will hold its annual meeting March 25-27 at the Homestead in Hot Springs. Guest speakers will discuss various aspects of solid-waste management, including legislation.

Dr. Robert Anderson, professor of microbiology at West Virginia University, will speak on "Solid Waste Management: The Dilemma and Blessing in Disguise." Victor S. Luke Sr., vice president of Westvaco, will discuss "Source Reduction." Ellen Thompson-Allen, marketing coordinator of Joyce Engineering, will speak on "Solid Waste Management and Legislation." Dr. Paul Wyche, director of public affairs at DuPont Corp., will discuss "Package Improvement in Plastics."
