SUTPHIN, NAOMI W.

PULASKI - Naomi Whitt Sutphin, age 58, of Rt. 1 Box 91 (Alum Spring Rd.), Pulaski, died Saturday morning in the Radford Community Hospital. She was born in Pulaski, Va., on July 21, 1931, and was the daughter of Boyd Whitt and Freda Covey Whitt. For 20 years, she was the owner and operator of the Alum Spring Shop-in. She was presently employed at the Randolph House in Pulaski. Surviving are her husband, James Sutphin, Pulaski; one daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Dunford, Lynchburg; two sons, Eric Dalton of Big Sky, Mont.; Byron Farmer of Fort Worth, Texas; four sisters, Arleta Morris, Pulaski; Claribel Taylor, Chester; Irene Edwards of Mechanicsville; Dayna Smythers of Allisonia; four brothers, Robert Whitt of Newbern; William Whitt, Newbern; Richard Whitt, Dublin; Jerry Whitt, Pontiac, Mich.; two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. from the Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Pastor Nelson Eichelberger officiating. Burial will follow in the Newbern Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday evening at the Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that contributions be made to the Randolph House, 921 Randolph Ave., Pulaski, Va. 24301. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski.
