OBIT LEFLER, D.

PEMBROKE - Dorothy Lee Lefler, age 78, died Saturday evening in a Blacksburg hospital. A native of Narrows, Va., she was the daughter of the late Steven Anderson and Willie Clark Hale Thornton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Lefler, and two daughters, Mildred Robertson and Freda Radford. Surviving are one son, Elmer S. Lefler, Macon, Ga.; two daughters, Helen Stevers, Pembroke; Mabel Kidd, Scottsville; two brothers, Jack Thornton, Narrows; Steven Anderson Thornton, Fieldale; two sisters, Lillian Robertson, Pembroke; Helen Robertson, Peterstown, W.Va.; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the Williams-Jamison-Kendall Funeral Home, Pembroke, with burial following in Birchlawn Burial Park, Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
