PILOT - Mamie Conner Walton, age 90, died Friday in a Roanoke hospital. Surviving are three daughters, Anna Lee Conner of Check; Mary W. Janney of Pilot; Jean W. Rorrer of Afton; four sons, Elwin O. Walton of Portsmouth; Percy A. Walton, Dayton, Ohio; John L. Walton of Vinton; and Ezra L. Walton, Lynchburg; 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Virgie Jamison, Boones Mill; and Bessie Craighead of Roanoke. Funeral will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Salem Church (Head of the River). Elders Hale Terry, Lane Carter, and W. T. Conner officiating with interment in Wilson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Floyd Rescue Squad. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday at the Wood Funeral Home, Floyd.
