JACKSON MARTINDELL OF `WHO'S WHO' DIES

Jackson Martindell, a management consultant and former publisher of "Who's Who in America," has died of cancer. He was 89.

Martindell, who died Wednesday, was born in Amarillo, Texas, and was a graduate of the University of Colorado and Columbia University. He served in the Army's American Expeditionary Force during World War I. Over the next two decades, Martindell made a reputation as a banker, financier and consultant.

In 1948 he married Anne Clark, who later became a New Jersey state senator and U.S. ambassador to New Zealand. He is survived by three sons and a daughter.
