RAINBOW SPLASHES

The Rainbow Splashes performing arts series for youngsters will continue March 24 with an appearance by The Mask Man/Faustwork, in which a cast of characters is portrayed by one man using a variety of masks and employing techniques of acting and body movement.

The performance will be in Mill Mountain Theatre at 10 a.m.

Tickets are available for $5 at offices of The Arts Council of Roanoke Valley, sponsor of the Rainbow Splashes series. the number to call for more information is 342-5790.

Rainbow Splashes will conclude its third season April 7 with a performance by Mark Jaster, a mime whose teachers include Marcel Marceau.

Kendig nomminations

Nominations are being accepted for the 6th annual Perry F. Kendig awards in the arts.

One award each in the categories of achievement in the arts and service to the arts will be presented at the opening of the Roanoke City Art Show on April 26.

The deadline for nominations is March 30. They should be sent to the Arts Council of Roanoke Valley, sponsor of the awards, at Center on Church, 20 E. Church Ave., Roanoke, Va. 24011.
