RHODES, BERTHA S.\ ARNOLDS VALLEY - Bertha Saunders Rhodes, age 79, died Friday, March 9, in a Fredericksburg nursing home. She was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Rhodes. She is survived by two sons, John D. Rhodes and Lloyd A. Rhodes; one daughter, Ann Hatcher, all of Pensacola, Fla.; twelve grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Lomax Funeral Chapel with burial in the Hill Family Cemetery. The Rev. Aubrey Whitten will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Lomax Funeral Home in Buena Vista.
