Now, he's considering going back to waiting tables while he waits for the second $80,000 installment of his $2 million lottery prize.
The first installment went as easily as it came, he said - on new sedans for his parents and a sports car for himself, a $1,000 watch, covering some heavy party tabs and lending a few thousand to needy friends. Now, there's about $3,000 left and he can't even borrow against the future because he is young, has no regular income and never has had a credit card.
So the 19-year-old lottery millionaire from figures he'll go back to waiting tables at a restaurant this summer to help tide him over until the second of his 20 installments comes in December. "I spent a lot of money just having fun, now I'll have to get a job," said Peterson, a college sophomore.
