VEST, VIRGINIA J.\ Mrs. Virginia Jett Vest, age 67, of Salem, died March 14, 1990. She was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church, Vinyard Garden Social Service Club, and the Woodbridge Neighborhood Association. She is survived by her husband, B.W. Vest; daughter and son-in-law, Peggy V. and Bob Mentel, Chalmette, La.; son and daughter-in-law, Joey and Judy Vest, Danville; sister and brother-in-law, Mattie and John Peterson, Eastport, Maine; brother and sister-in-law, Maurice (Sandy) and Sandra Lucas; foster brother, Charlie Wood, Floyd. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Northminster Presbyterian Church with the Rev. David A. Kirk officiating. Interment will be in Fair View Cemetery. Friends may call from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at the John M. Oakey and Son Funeral Home, Salem.
