\ Entertainment colossus MCA Inc. on Wednesday bought the last big independent music label, Geffen Records, the home of such rock performers as Guns N' Roses, Don Henley, Cher, Aerosmith and Whitesnake. The deal adds Geffen's artists to MCA Records' strong black and country roster.
\ Virginia taxpayers who file estimated income taxes can expect a delay in receiving their 1990 estimated income tax booklets because of problems experienced by the vendor producing the booklets, the Virginia Department of Taxation said. The department had been saying the booklets would be mailed by March 9; however, Assistant Commissioner Bill Hawkins said Wednesday that only a portion of the shipment has been mailed.
