CONFERENCE TO TEACH ABOUT MEDICAL MISSIONS

A three-day conference to educate the public about medical missions and to raise money for such work will take place April 1 to 3 at Raleigh Court Presbyterian Church, 1837 Grandin Road S.W.

The conference will feature the Rev. Dr. Paul T. Eckel of Atlanta.

Six Roanoke Valley physicians and dentists familiar with mission work also will participate: Robert E. Berry, J. Boyd Francis, Robert C. Patten, J. Fuller Robinson Jr., Robert F. Roth and Edwin L. Williams II.

Eckel, retired from a large Atlanta church, now is an evangelist and church growth consultant. He also is coordinator of the Medical Benevolent Foundation, an organization of Presbyterian health-care professionals with a special interest in witnessing for Christ.

The foundation cooperates with the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).

Call 343-5541 for more details about the meeting.
