BLACKSBURG CLEANUP PLANNED DURING APRIL

The Town of Blacksburg 1990 Spring Clean-up will be held during the month of April. Materials which can be picked up include brush, boxed or bagged yard waste, lumber, and furniture. Yard waste such as brush or leaves must be separated from other materials to facilitate recycling. Tires, large stumps and any other items weighing over 1,000 pounds will not be collected.

The southwest area of the town will be cleaned up April 2-6; the southeast will be cleaned up April 9-13; northwest will be cleaned up April 16-20; and the northeast part of Blacksburg will be cleaned up April 23-27.

Posters will be placed in the municipal building and in various stores around town illustrating the designated quadrant boundaries. Materials to be picked up are to be places at curbside on the first day of the designated week. Town crews will make as many pickups as necessary to collect all material.
