SMITH MOUNTAIN LAKE GUIDE FEATURED ON TELEVISION SERIES

John R. Jones, a Smith Mountain fishing guide from Vinton, will be featured in the first "Virginia Wildlife Video Magazine" scheduled to air at 7:30 a.m. Saturday on WSLS-TV (Channel 10).

The 13-week series is produced by the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries and covers fishing, wildlife management and related subjects, according to Roy Edwards, a department media representative.

The TV crew spent a winter outing on Smith Mountain with Jones, who was successful in hooking and landing several stripers, Edwards said.
