WILLIAMS, GARNET P., SR.\ PULASKI - Garnet Porter (Mac) Williams, Sr., age 73, of 904 Gateway Drive, died late Thursday evening in Pulaski Community Hospital. Born in Giles County, October 5, 1916, the son of the late Evans Williams and Sue Wagner Williams, he was retired from the Appalachian Power Company. He was a veteran of World War II, where he was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star with Cluster. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Robertson Williams; one son and daughter-in-law, Garnet P. Williams, Jr. and Donna Kegley Williams, Dublin; two sisters, Mrs. Georgia Meadows, Pearisburg; Mrs. Mildred Stevenson, Raleigh, N.C.; and one granddaughter. Funeral services will be held Sunday, at 2:00 p.m. from Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Weikel officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Visiting will be Saturday afternoon. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home.
