ROCKY MOUNT - Mrs. Mamie Edwards Davis died Friday, March 16, 1990. She was
preceded in death by her husband, Mr. William Letcher Davis; and a
granddaughter, Jane Reid Davis. Surviving is one daughter and son-in-law,
Elizabeth Ann and B. A. Davis, III, Rocky Mount; two grandchildren, Sarah D.
Baker, Rocky Mount; Drew Davis, Union Hall; four great-grandchildren, William
Davis Baker, Emily Andrew Baker, Lauren Elizabeth Davis and Beverly Ann Davis.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Franklin Memorial
Park with the Rev. Denny D. Williams officiating. The family will receive
friends at Lynch Funeral Home Saturday evening from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. In
lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials may be made to the Jane
Reid Davis Scholarship Fund of Franklin County High School or a charity of
ones choice.
