AUSTIN, GOLDIE C.\ Mrs. Goldie C. Austin, age 77, of Rt. 2, Hardy, died suddenly at her home Friday, March 16, 1990. She was the widow of Ben A. Kingery and Homer Austin. Surviving are a son and wife, Allan and Elizabeth Kingery, Hardy; two granddaughters, Anne Bane, Roanoke; Kathryn Barber, Douglasville, Ga.; one grandson, Philip Kingery, Hardy; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Atkins and Mrs. Geneva Drewery, both of Roanoke; five stepchildren, J.D. Austin and G.A. Austin, both of Florida; William Austin, Boones Mill; Clinton Austin and Clara Wood, both of Rocky Mount. Funeral services will be at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Sam Crews officiating. Interment will be in Cooper's Cove Cemetery, Hardy, Va. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
