CBS will televise the regional semifinal games Thursday and Friday (8 p.m., WDBJ). Each market will receive four games, distributed regionally, with cut-ins to other live games.
On Thursday, the Midwest Regional semifinal at Dallas between North Carolina and Arkansas starts the CBS show, with the Duke-UCLA game from the East Regional in East Rutherford, N.J., as the nightcap.
The game distribution for Friday's 4 1/2-hour regional semifinal show will be determined today, a CBS spokesman said. One certainty is that Roanoke-area viewers will see the Georgia Tech-Michigan State game from the Southeast Regional in New Orleans with tipoff at approximately 10:30 p.m.
CBS could start Friday's show with the Minnesota-Syracuse game from the Southeast Regional at 8:04 p.m., then cut to the start of the Loyola Marymount-Alabama game, beginning at 8:25 p.m. at the West Regional in Oakland, Calif.
Clemson's East Regional semifinal against Connecticut begins at 7:40 p.m. Thursday at the Meadowlands, but in the Roanoke-Lynchburg television market, only cut-ins to that game will be available.
The Saturday and Sunday regional final doubleheader shows start at 1:30 p.m., with the games tipping off at 1:40 and 4:03 p.m. each day. The telecast order is East-Midwest on Saturday, and Southeast-West on Sunday.
