SALEM, VA. - William Stanley (Bill) Lawson, 65, of 405 Mount View Dr., Salem,
Va., formerly of Pulaski, died Monday afternoon in the Roanoke Memorial
Hospital, Roanoke. Born September 21, 1924, in Pulaski County, Va., he was the
son of the late William Davis Lawson and Mattie Myrtle Viars Lawson. He was a
World War II veteran, serving in the United States Army Air Force. He was a
retired employee for the Gardner-Denver Mining and Construction, Roanoke. He
is survived by his wife, Stella Creasy Lawson; two sisters, Mrs. Alvin
(Josephine) Landreth, Pulaski, Va.; Mrs. Mason (Edith) Mabe, Pulaski, Va.;
numerous of nieces and nephews. The funeral will be conducted Thursday at
11:00 a.m. at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski, with the Rev. James D. Weaver
officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.
Visiting will be anytime Wednesday with the family receiving friends from 7:00
to 9:00 Wednesday evening at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski. Bower Funeral
Chapel, 1631 Bob White Blvd., Pulaski, is handling the arrangements.
