The lawsuit alleges Kansas State breached a contract signed in 1984 for the Cowboys and the Wildcats to play in Laramie, Wyo. on Sept. 15, 1990 and again in Manhattan, Kan., on Sept. 14, 1991.
Wyoming coach and athletic director Paul Roach said Kansas State notified Wyoming in January that the Wildcats were playing New Mexico State on the same day they are scheduled to play Wyoming in Laramie.
\ Atlanta's bid for the 1994 Super Bowl has risen by at least $634,000 because business leaders just realized they failed to include the sales tax cost for the event.
"It's not going to prevent us from submitting our bid," Dennis L. Berkholtz, director of marketing for the Georgia Dome, said Tuesday. "The only question is how we are going to pay for it."
Atlanta's bid package, due March 31, will include free stadium rental, about 500 free hotel rooms, free practice facilities and various other incentives for the National Football League.
Local leaders now believe it will cost the city almost $3 million to be competitive.
The sales tax was a major incentive offered to the NFL by other cities competing for the bowl: the waiving of sales taxes on tickets for the event.
The $634,000 figure is based on the assumption that Super Bowl tickets would cost $150 each.
