WOOD, MARGARET V.\ Mrs. Margaret V. Wood, age 92, of Vinton, died Tuesday evening in a local hospital. She was the daughter of the late J. W. and Margie Vinyard Jones. She had taught piano in her home for 65 years and was a member of the Roanoke Music Teacher's Association for 40 years. She was also a member of the Vinton Baptist Church since she was 12 years old. Surviving are nieces, Mrs. Catherine J. Meador, Miss Atline Jones, Miss Agnes Jones, Mrs. Mildred Pennington, all of Vinton; nephews, Edward W. Jones, Perry Jones, Jonnie Jones, all of Vinton; Francis Sublett, Roanoke; great-niece, Mrs. Gayle M. Obenchain, Vinton; other great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 1990, with the Rev. William E. Hungate officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
