WATERS, JOHN T.\ John Thomas Waters, age 76, of Roanoke, died Thursday, March 22, 1990 in the Roanoke Memorial Rehab Center. He was retired with 42 years of service with the Norfolk and Western Railway and was a fourth degree in the Knights of Columbus. Survivors include his wife, Mary Madagan Waters; four sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas J. and Norma M. Waters, Roanoke; Michael V. and Ann Waters, Lenoir, N.C.; John P. and Carolyn Waters, Barstow, Calif.; James P. and Susan Waters, Roanoke; two sisters, Rosalie Waters Driscoll, Roanoke; Sister Elizabeth Waters, Charleston, W.Va.; 11 grandchildren, David, Patricia, Barbara, Mary, Darlene, Greg, Kathy, Tracy, Angela, Lisa, Charlie; four great-grandchildren, Daniel, Erica, Deanna, Robert Thomas; several nieces, nephews, cousins; many friends. The funeral mass will be celebrated by the Rev. William S. O'brien and the Rev. James Park at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, 11:15 a.m. Monday. There will be a prayer service 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel with the fourth degree Honor Guard. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
