OBIT-HOLMES, C.

HOLMES, CHRISTINE C.\ BEDFORD - Mrs. Christine C. Holmes, of 1804 Longwood Ave., departed this life Thursday after a brief illness. She was retired from the Elks National Home and was preceded in death by her husband. Surviving are three sons, William C. Holmes, Columbus, Ohio; Harold D. Holmes, Alexandria, Va.; Robert L. Holmes, Bedford; one daughter, Miss Lena R. Holmes, Bedford; a stepson, James F. Holmes, Bedford; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Georgia S. Holmes, Columbus, Ohio; several nieces and nephews. She was a longtime member of the Court St. United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Bedford Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in the Fairmont Cemetery, Bedford. Rev. John Miller and Rev. Alvin Henderson will officiate. Viewing will be Saturday from 12:00 noon until the time of the funeral service.
