NAMES & CHANGES

JAMES HAMLIN has been promoted to director of major and Hamlin planned gifts at Hollins College. Hamlin joined the college in 1988 as director of planned giving. He came from Pennsylvania State University where he was associate director of planned giving from 1985 to 1988. He has also served as director of development for the University of Tennessee and director of annual funds program at the University of Illinois Foundation.

\ JOHN W. MOTICHA JR. and \ JOHN H. PARROTT JR. have been elected to the state board of directors for The Easter Seal Society of Virginia Inc. Moticha is president of Home Shopping Fulfillment of Virginia Inc. Parrott is an account representative with Thomas Rutherfoord Inc.

\ PAT HALL and\ STEVE NASH have received the National Champions Award for sales excellence from Allstate Insurance Co.

Hall, a senior account agent at the Peters Creek Road office, has achieved this award level for the past five years. Nash, a neighborhood office agent at the Brambleton Avenue location, has won the award for the past two years.

Allstate also has named its 1989 Honor Ring award winners. They are\ Roger Rakes, senior account agent in Salem;\ Larry Fallen, neighborhood office agent at the Williamson Road location; and\ David Garlow, neighborhood office agent in Salem.

\ ROSS E. JEFFRIES has been promoted to vice president of corporate development at W.W. Boxley Co. He joined the company in 1978 and was elected vice president of operations in 1984.\ Steven W. Powell has joined Boxley as vice president of operations. Powell will oversee operations of the company's seven quarries. He came to Boxley from Genstar Stone Products in Hunt Valley, Md.

\ DAVID L. PINAMONTI has joined Stanley Pinamonti Furniture as vice president of sales. He will be responsible for retail sales for the southern region. Before joining Stanley, Pinamonti was general manager of the Wyndham Co., a subsidiary of Hunter Douglas, and vice president of sales for Keepsake and Lenox, divisions of Lenox China and Crystal.

\ CLARK M. COLE has been promoted to vice president of finance and administration for Newbern-Trane. He joined the company in 1984 as manager of accounting.

\ CAROLYN M. HORST has been elected assistant vice president of materials for Sam Moore Furniture Industries. She joined the company in 1963 as a general bookkeeper. Horst has been in charge of purchasing for Sam Moore since 1976.
