OBIT-HOLDREN, H.

Henry Earl Holdren, Sr., age 87, of Blue Ridge, passed away Friday. He was retired from Webster Brick after 54 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Swortzel Holdren, and a son, Henry E. Holdren, Jr. Surviving are three sons, Joy Edward Holdren, Vinton; Walter Joseph Holdren and Warren Wayne Holdren, both of Roanoke; two daughters, Rochelle Holdren, Blue Ridge; Patricia Holdren Jackson, Knoxville, Tenn.; 22 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 26, 1990, from the Colonial Baptist Church. The Rev. Donald W. Eade and the Rev. Richard Calhoun will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial gifts be made to the Blue Ridge Rescue Squad. Friends may call at Lotz Vinton Chapel.
