Mrs. Edna Hoback Mullins, age 76, of Vinton, died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born January 10, 1914 in Giles County to Sheffey Sands Hoback and Charlie R. Hoback. She was the widow of Noah E. Mullins. Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Lorraine Bratton, Connie M. and Joseph L. Bush, Jr., all of Vinton; five sisters, Mrs. Marion (Mamie) Stanley, Vinton; Mrs. Bane (Georgia) Burton, Pearisburg; Mrs. Della Ruth Hill, Roanoke; Mrs. Rubye H. Gearhart, Appomattox; Mrs. W.D. (Louise) Thomas, Bedford; two brothers, Ernest E. Hoback, Radford; William S. Hoback, Roanoke; a special nephew and family, Brooks, Shirley, Tim, and Barbara Hoback, Bedford. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, 1990, with the Rev. Fred Elsworth officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
