MAX MEADOWS - John C.C. (Jack) Blair, Jr., age 75, of the Walton Furnace Community, died Saturday in the Wythe County Community Hospital. He was retired from the E.J. Longyear Industrial Drilling Company. He is survived by two daughters, Ann Blair, Wilmington, N.C.; Mrs. Thomas E. (Sue) Murphy, Rochester, N.Y.; six grandchildren; two sisters, Gladys Blair, Norfolk; Margaret Grimes, Virginia Beach; one brother, R.J. Blair, Pulaski. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Barnett Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Vaughan Earl Hartsell officiating. Interment will be in the Blair Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday. The family suggests that those who prefer may make memorials to the Wytheville Presbyterian Childrens Home. Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville is in charge of the arrangements.
