FIND WAYS TO MAKE LITTERING EXPENSIVE

THIS IS addressed to the lady and many others who are disgusted with litter and trash on our roadsides.

They must realize they are dealing with the ignorant and lazy, or both. It is easier to throw trash out the car window than to dispose of it in a responsible manner. You cannot teach a pig to sing; it's a waste of time and it irritates the pig.

We must recycle all disposable containers and place a hefty deposit fee on the returnables. We have to develop a plan that makes littering too expensive.

Nebraska has outlawed the sale of disposable diapers, Minnesota has banend any type of landfill, and Oregon has a bottle bill, as have many New England states. JAMES E. SCHULTE HARDY
