GAS STATION ROBBED

Roanoke police are investigating the robbery of a Walnut Avenue service station Monday night.

A clerk at the Gate Petroleum Co. at 401 Walnut Ave. S.W. told police that a man entered the store about 9:45 p.m. and asked to use the restroom.

He then pulled a handgun, demanded money and fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.
