WHITAKER, SIDNEY A.\ MCCOY - Sidney A. Whitaker, age 87, died Monday, March 26, 1990, at Radford Community Hospital. He was preceded in death by two wives, Elizabeth A. Whitaker and Lettie A. Whitaker; one son, Clifford W. Whitaker; and three daughters-in-law, Ruth M. Whitaker, Bernice H. Whitaker, and Violet S. Whitaker. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara W. and Irvin McMahan, Blacksburg; four sons and daughters-in-law, Cecil Whitaker, McCoy; Carmen Whitaker, Bel Spring; Charlie and Francis F. Whitaker, Blacksburg; Carson and Carolyn Whitaker, Christiansburg; one daughter-in-law, Zana M. Whitaker, Christiansburg; 25 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 28, 1990, at 2:00 p.m. at Community Christian Church. Mr. Bobby E. Fuller will officiate. Burial will follow in Centennial Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Hoy-McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
