Directors of BellSouth Corp., parent of BellSouth Communication Systems of Roanoke, have raised the company's quarterly dividend from 63 cents to 67 cents per share, effective with the May 1 payment.

\ Interest rates on short-term Treasury securities fell in Monday's auction. The Treasury Department sold $8 billion in three-month bills at an average discount rate of 7.85 percent, down from 7.97 percent last week.
