VETERAN TO SPEAK ON SUBSTANCE ABUSE

Dave Roever, a Vietnam veteran who was injured in that war, will speak at several area high schools next week on the dangers of drugs and alcohol.

Roever has spoken at high schools across the country. His appearances, sponsored by local businesses and churches, will be as follows:

\ Fort Chiswell High School, Monday at 10 a.m.

\ Pulaski County High, Monday at 1 p.m..

\ Radford High, Tuesday at 10 a.m..

\ Auburn High, Tuesday at 1 p.m.

Roever will also appear at night on Monday and Tuesday at 7:30 in the auditorium of the Virginia Conference Assembly Grounds of the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Dublin.

Roever's traveling companion, Reggie Dubbs, will also speak about the choices teen-agers have in making decisions. His schedule of appearances is:

\ Monday, Giles County High.

\ Tuesday, the Alternative Learning Center in Christiansburg and at Shawsville Middle and High Schools.
