Because incorrect information was given to the newspaper, the wrong address and nickname were listed in a story and obituary for Napoleon "Sonny" Shipman in Thursday's editions. Shipman lived at 8531 Bullington Circle N.W.

\ Because of a wire service error, an answer was omitted to a question in a quiz on Academy Award winners in Monday's Extra section. Dorothy Dandridge was the first black actress to be nominated for best actress for her role in "Carmen Jones" (1954).
