CRUE CRUISES INTO ROANOKE

One night in Roanoke is never enough.

Two years and an album later, Motley Crue will again play their little heavy-metal hearts out in the Star City.

This tour is to promote "Dr. Feelgood," their latest Elektra album. Saturday's show, like the album, will supposedly showcase the band's musical personality via its singles: the incendiary riffing of "Dr. Feelgood" and "Rattlesnake Shake," the bawdy metal blues of "Slice of Your Pie," and the powerhouse ballads like "Time For A Change" and "Without You."

"Dr. Feelgood" took the group a year to write, which compares to the three weeks spent on their previous album "Girls, Girls, Girls."

Band members include Vince Neil on lead vocals, Nikki Sixx on base, Mick Mars on guitar and Tommy Lee on drums.

Faster Pussycat, another '80s heavy-metal band, will be on hand to open the show and perform cuts off their latest release, "Wake Me When It's Over."

Don't forget your earplugs.

Motley Crue will perform Saturday at 8 p.m. at the Roanoke Civic Center, with special guest Faster Pussycat. Tickets are $ 17.50 in advance, $18.50 day of the show.
