NAMES & CHANGES

WALLACE I. ALLEN and LUCIUS M. MERRITT Jr. have been promoted to senior vice president at Dominion Bank.

Allen is responsible for branch administration and the executive management of all offices in the Roanoke Valley. He joined the bank in 1970 and has been manager of several branches. In 1982 he was named regional manager of the Downtown/East Area. He has been branch administrator since 1986.

Merritt has been manager of the Montgomery County offices since 1984 and was recently named manager of the New River Valley region. He joined Dominion in 1970 as a personnel trainee and has worked in the data processing, marketing and correspondent banking departments.

Dominion Bank has also elected James R. Holdren and Raymond P. Sellers to its Bedford Advisory Board. Holdren is a partner in Holdren, Eubank & Stanley, a Bedford real estate and insurance company. Sellers is an owner and broker with Century 21 Sellers and Associates in Moneta.

\ JOHN F. PENDARVIS has joined Family Service of Roanoke Valley as executive director. He comes to Roanoke after five years as executive vice president of Family Service of Fort Worth, Texas. Pendarvis is a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers and serves as vice chairman, Directors of Professional Services Association of Family Service of America.

\ JONNA M. McGRAW, an associate member of Gentry Locke Rakes & Moore, has been named chairwoman of the Board of Governors of the newly formed Bankruptcy Section of the Virginia State Bar.\ Howard J. Beck Jr., a partner in the firm, has been named to the executive committee of the bankruptcy section.

\ CHARLES G. DORSEY has been appointed director of marketing for the Mining and Construction Division of Gardner-Denver Mining & Construction. He is responsible for domestic and international sales and marketing for units and parts.

\ T. LYNN STOUT and ELIZABETH K. YOUNG have been promoted to assistant vice president at Dominion Bankshares Corp. Stout manages the staff responsible for on-line transaction processing and communications software. She joined the bank in 1982 as a systems programmer and was named technical project leader in 1984. Young manages document preparation, the technical library, centralized word processing and the secretarial support staff. She joined Dominion in 1969 as a keypunch operator.

\ SAM LIONBERGER JR., president of Lionberger Construction Co., has been appointed a national director of the Associated General Contractors of America Inc. He served as president of the organization in 1976.

\ ROB GRESHAM has been promoted to vice president of contractor sales promotion for Lowe's Companies, Inc.

\ ROBERT W. MURPHY has been promoted to regional manager of GMAC Financial Services.

\ KEN TANNER, formerly of Roanoke, has been elected president of the Carolinas-Virginia Chapter of the National Agri-Marketing Association.
