MASTERSON, JOHN P.\
ROCKY MOUNT - John Paul (Flea) Masterson, age 79, of Rocky Mount and formerly
of Roanoke, died March 30, 1990, in Franklin Memorial Hospital. He was
preceded in death by his wife, Myrle Griffith Masterson. Surviving are a
daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Ottis Prillaman, Rocky Mount; granddaughter
and husband, Janet and David Thaxton, Madison Heights, Va.; granddaughter,
Jennifer Prillaman, Alexandria; one brother, W. H. Masterson, Moneta. Funeral
services will be held at Oakey's South Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Monday with Dr.
Gordon W. Grimes officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Burial Park.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Franklin Memorial
Hospital Building Fund or to the American Heart Association. Friends may call
from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday at Oakey's South Chapel.
