LEECH, CHARLES E., SR.\ Charles Edward Leech, Sr., age 74, of Vinton, died Friday evening, March 30, 1990, in a local hospital. He was a retired employee of the N & W Railway where he was a carman welder with the East End Shops. Mr. Leech was a deacon at the New Hope Christian Church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Ralph C. (Mary Alice) Chumley, Vinton; Mrs. Kenneth R. (Bonnie) Cadd and Mrs. Harry L. (Margaret) Ray, both of Roanoke; one son and daughter-in-law, Charles E., Jr. and Marlene Leech, Roanoke; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, James Trent Leech, Herminston, Ore.; one sister, Mary Edna Coleman, Hampton; a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at the New Hope Christian Church at 2:00 p.m. Monday with Minister David M. Derrow officiating. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery in Vinton. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
