CHRISTIANSBURG - Doshie Montgomery Simpkins, age 89, died Monday in a Radford hospital. Surviving are one daughter, Lucille Duncan of Christiansburg; one son, Herman Simpkins of Radford; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survived. Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Radford Church of God of Prophecy with the Rev. Cecil Frazier and the Rev. C. E. Wood officiating. Interment will follow in the Simpkins Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at the DeVilbiss Funeral Home.
